এখন থেকে প্রতিদিন আপনাদের জন্য থাকবে ইংরেজীতে কথা বলার কিছু সহজ ফরমূলা । আজকে প্রথম পাঁচটি:

.
বাংলা ভাষায় যে সব কাক্যে ক্রিয়া থাকে না, সে সব বাক্য ইংরেজি করার সময় am/is/are ব্যবহার করতে হয়। এগুলো মূলত বাক্যের main verb হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
আমি একজন বালক —- I am a boy.
পৃথিবী গোলাকার —- The earth is round.
তারা সাহসী —- They are brave.

.
বাংলা প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্যে ক্রিয়া না থাকলে ঐ বাক্যের ইংরেজি করার সময় বাক্যটি am/is/are দিয়ে শুরু করতে হবে এবং বাক্যের শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক (?) চিহ্ন দিতে হবে।
আমি কি একজন ছাত্র? —- Am I a student?
পৃথিবী কি গোলাকার? —- Is the earth round?
তারা কি সাহসী? —- Are they brave?

#Formula 3
.
বাংলা বাক্যে নই/নও/নয় কথা থাকলে তার ইংরেজি করার সময় am/is/are-এর পরে not ব্যবহার করতে হয়।
আমি মিথ্যাবাদী নই। —- I am not a liar.
ধনীরা সব সময় সুখি নয়। —- The rich are not always happy.

.
বাংলা ক্রিয়াহীন বাক্যে যদি কোন অবস্থা অতীতকাল হতে বর্তমান কাল পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত বুঝায়, তাহলে ইংরেজি করার সময় have been/has been বসে।
সে দুই দিন যাবত অসুস্থ। —- He has been ill for two days.
তারা রোববার হতে অনুপস্থিত। —- They have been absent since Sunday last.
দু’ঘণ্টা যাবত প্রবল বৃষ্টি হচ্ছে। —- It has been raining heavily for two hours.
Note: Singular Subject-এর পরে ‘has’ এবং Plural Subject-এর পরে ‘have’ বসে।

অতীতকাল হতে বর্তমান কাল পর্যন্ত ঐ ক্রিয়াহীন বাক্যগুলোকে যদি প্রশ্নবোধক হয়, তাহলে ইংরেজি করার সময় বাক্যের মধ্যে অবস্থিত has/have শব্দগুলো বাক্যের প্রথমে বসিয়ে দিতে হয় এবং বাক্যের শেষে প্রশ্নবোধক (?) চিহ্ন দিতে হয়।
সে কি দুই দিন যাবত অসুস্থ? —- Has he been ill for two days?
তারা কি রোববার হতে অনুপস্থিত? —- Have they been absent since Sunday last?









অতি প্রয়োজনীয় কিছু vocabulary বাংলা অর্থ ও উদাহরণ সহ দেয়া হল, যা academic এবং practical life এ বহুলভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়ে থাকে।

Ambitious – উচ্চাভিলাষী , উচ্চাশী , উচ্চাকাঙ্ক্ষী
His plan for the future is highly ambitious.

Arrogant – অহংকারী, অভিমানী, গর্বিত, দাম্ভিক, উদ্ধত, দর্পিত, আত্মজাহির
He is first in his class, but he is not arrogant about it.

Autocracy – স্বৈরশাসন, স্বৈরতন্ত্র , একনায়কতন্ত্র
The day in 1983 witnessed a number of killings that included students mostly while protesting against the then autocracy of HM Ershad.

Bargain – দরকষাকষি করা, দরাদরি করা , দর করা
I like to bargain with the shopkeeper when I shops.

Candid – অকপট , মনখোলা, সাদাসিধে , পক্ষপাতহীন
She was quite candid about her past.

Complexion – ত্বকের রং (বিশেষত মুখের)
She has a fair complexion.

Confide – বিশ্বাস করে কিছু বলা , বিশ্বাস রাখা , আস্থা রাখা
She confided to me that she was very unhappy with her job.

Deteriorate – ক্রমশ খারাপ হওয়া , ক্রমাবনতি হওয়া , ক্রমাবনতি ঘটা
The political situation of our country is deteriorating day by day.

Elusive – পলায়নপর, ফাকিঁবাজ
Imran is so elusive.

Entice – প্রলোভিত করা
A movie should entice a new audience into the theatre.

Epiphany – আকস্মিক উপলব্ধি
He had an epiphany about why the people at college threw rocks at his forehead.

Nostalgic – স্মৃতিকাতর, স্মৃতিবেদনাতুর, গৃহাকুল , অতীত-আর্ত
She got nostalgic about the adventurous days of her young age.

Precise – যথাযথ , শব্দবাহুল্যবর্জিত, সম্পূর্ণ নির্ভূল
He is very precise in his work.

Sneeze – হাঁচি, হাঁচি দেত্তয়া
He is constantly sneezing.

Stammer – তোতলানো
He used to stammer when he was young.

Tickle – সুড়সুড়ি, সুড়সুড়ি দেত্তয়া, কাতুকুতু দেত্তয়া
She tickled me under the ears.

Allegation – অভিযোগ
You are making a false allegation against him.

Capricious – খামখেয়ালীপূর্ন
Her capricious nature makes it very difficult for us to know what she is thinking at any given moment.

Casual – নৈমিত্তিক
The atmosphere at the conference was quite casual.

Despise – ঘৃনা করা, অবজ্ঞা করা
Some of them love us, while others despise us.

Epic – মহাকাব্য
Ramayan is the famous epic of India.

Evidence – প্রমান
Unfortunately, all the evidence is pointing in the opposite direction.

Intellectual – বুদ্ধিজীবী
He was a reputed historian and intellectual.

Intimidate – ভয় দেখানো
Don’t try to intimidate us.

Nictate – চোঁখ টিপ দেয়া
Is she making a pass at you or does her eye nictate involuntarily?

Rebuke – তিরষ্কার করা
He rebuked the girl for playing with boys.

Remote – দূর
I enjoy reading about remote countries.

12, Revile – বদদোয়া করা, অভিশাপ দেয়া
People are reviling her for her callous behavior.

Satire – বিদ্রুপ করা
His novels are known for the use of satire.

Skeptical – সন্দেহপ্রবণ,নাস্তিক্যপূর্ণ
Don’t be skeptical about everything.

Snore – নাক ডাকা
Rubi was snoring heavily while he slept.

Vulnerable – অরক্ষিত
